Digital Thermometer Procedures - Sanitize the calibrating and repair area freeing the table of any dirt or stray chemicals.
- Set-up and calibrate (on site/mail in) with reference thermometer traceable to Comark. Allow to adjust to room temp.

- Mix thoroughly crushed ice in distilled water=60% ice and 40% water in glass beaker
- If the mixture does not reach 32 degrees F add more ice
- Mix for 1 minute, let sit for 5 minutes
- Place Reference Thermometer Probe in mixture-stir for
30 seconds, take reading and reference temperature
- Probe can not touch bottom of cup
- Probe should be immersed 2.5 inches
- Place probe to be calibrated and serviced in mixture (probes should not touch)
- Take reading
- Boiling Point Method
- Place distilled water in glass container and boil
- Once boiling, place reference thermometer in boiling water
- Boiling point temperatures in relation to Altitude:
- Sea Level = 212 degrees F
- 2,000 ft = 208 degrees F
- 4,000 ft = 204 degrees F
- 6,000 ft = 201 degrees F
- 8,000 ft = 197 degrees F
- 10,000 ft = 194 degrees F
- Place probe to be calibrated and serviced in mixture (probes should not touch)
- Take reading
