Centrifuge RPM Verification Procedures

  1. Sanitize the calibrating and repair area freeing the table of any dirt or stray chemicals.

  2. Set up and calibrate (on site/mail in) with a Tachometer traceable to NIST. Allow time for the centrifuge to reach designated speed.

  3. Once desired speed is determined use Tachometer to take RPM reading. Record this information. Three readings total will be taken and documented.

  4. When RPM has been determined and documented clean out inside of centrifuge freeing it of any dirt or chemicals that may have dispersed inside (cleaning involves light chemicals and a vacuum).

  5. Once cleaning has been completed, close lid and set centrifuge back to original settings.
